Catalunya Singapore - Sunday Brunch (21 December 2014)
Written at Friday, January 02, 2015 | back to top

As a Christmas Celebration, we went for Catalunya's Sunday brunch during his off day on 21 December 2014.

Table Setup
There is a map included in the brochure indicating what is available on the center table, as well as what are the items we can order on the table side.

Basket of rustic bread offered on the table.

It seems to be coffee flavored butter to me.
We started with the bread and butter offered on the table. It seems to be quite a good and satisfying starter to begin with.

Beef on Toast

Different varieties of ham

Tomato Bread

Hummus with vegetable sticks

Deconstructed Omelette

Bikini Sandwich
The above are the food we tried from the tables as well as from orders with servers.
I believe my husband also ordered the mushroom omelette, but that never came.

The bikini sandwich is the most delicious item I have tasted that day. I also quite like the beef which I ate with the toast.

Then around 1.30pm, the servers came out with specialty main dishes for the day.

Salt crusted fish

Portion of fish served to the table.

Seafood Paella

Suckling Pig

The portion served to the table.

The taste of the main dishes was not too bad, but their portion isn't very appealing.
The photo is the portion served to the table, for the 2 of us.
The paella which is a noodle dish is nice, but we only were served 2 tiny pieces of squid in the plate.

Desserts - Plate 1

Dessert - Plate 2

Dessert - Plate 3
The desserts looks very exquisite but it was all very heavy and super filling, so we did not manage to finish even half of them.

We paid $98++ per person (inclusive of juices only).
The brunch is from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, but desserts are served around 3.30pm, so we left the place before 4pm after the desserts.

I personally will not go back there again, because it is not some place where I like to go. This place is just not for me.
But if you are someone who are more lively, more loud, I believe you will like it there.

When I made the reservation, I did inform them that we would like to celebrate my birthday there, and they did mention that they will offer a cake, but we also didn't receive anything from them at all.
